Donny's story
I‘ve dreamed of getting a dog for several years, but never felt it would be fair to subject a furry friend to my small New York City apartment and workaholic lifestyle. But, when my fiancé and I moved to Boston (and I decided to take a break from work!), I knew it was time to bring a dog into our new lives. And then we meet Freedom Rescue and our little Donny (a.k.a. Adonis). What a delightful, handsome devil: calm, confident and a total charmer with dogs, people, children, cats…just about everyone that comes his way.
We’ve even coaxed him into sitting patiently to be greeted by neighbors. And Mark’s Dad, who’s never been a dog owner himself, was even overheard calling him his “grandpuppy”. The sporty little guys keeps me in shape too with daily trips to the dog park to socialize with other dogs (he even has a best doggy friend!) and weekend jogs with his doggy Dad. And during down-time, Donny enjoys chewing buddy sticks, playing with toys, and watching “Doggy TV” (commercial-free wildlife entertainment through our living room window.) Mark and I can’t imagine life without our little prince
